Unveil Your Perfect Grin

Once veneers are placed, you will have a whiter, brighter smile you can be proud of. Veneers are an effective option for anyone who is self-conscious of their smile due to:
Minor Misalignment
Discoloration
Chipped Teeth
Cracked Teeth
Misshapen Teeth
Overcrowded Teeth
Gapped Teeth
Am I a Good Candidate
The best way to know for sure if you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers is to schedule a free consultation at our Port St. Lucie, FL, practice. During your consultation for Porcelain Veneers Port St. Lucie dental experts at our practice will review your oral health and determine if veneers would be the right cosmetic dentistry option for you. Generally, patients should:
Have Sufficient Enamel
Before the veneer is secured to your tooth, a portion of your natural tooth's enamel must be removed.
There needs to be enough remaining enamel for the veneer to stay in place. Patients with thin enamel may not qualify for this cosmetic dentistry procedure.
Not Grind Their Teeth
Lucie Dental uses IPS e.max® for our veneers.
This porcelain material is incredibly durable, but it is not indestructible. Clenching or grinding your teeth can crack, chip, or wear down your porcelain veneers. We might recommend an oral appliance (similar to a mouthguard) to help protect your new restorations.
Have Minor Cosmetic Issues
Porcelain veneers are a great way to cover minor imperfections in your smile.
However, they are not a solution for oral health concerns like tooth decay or gum disease. Minor misalignments and slight gaps in your teeth can be fixed with porcelain veneers, but patients with severe misalignment may need to seek the help of an orthodontist.
Practice Good Oral Hygiene
With proper care, your porcelain veneers could last up to 15 years.
Brushing twice daily, flossing once daily, and visiting our Port St. Lucie, FL, office twice a year for routine cleanings is the best way to extend the lifespan of your restorations. In Port St. Lucie Porcelain Veneer Patients should already be practicing these good habits.
Lucie Dental Uses IPS e.max Veneers
There are several options when it comes to the material of your dental veneers. Our practice chooses to use porcelain IPS e.max veneers because they are durable, long-lasting, stain-resistant, and natural-looking.

I'm Ready To SmileIn Just Three Appointments
Including your initial consultation, the entire process of receiving veneers can be completed with just three visits to our Port St. Lucie, FL, office. "Veneers are placed in under an hour and you can immediately enjoy your new, confident smile."
The first step for porcelain veneers is to reach out to our Port St. Lucie, FL, office to request your free consultation. Our dentist will evaluate your oral health to ensure you are not suffering from any issues like gum disease or cavities.
At your next visit, our dentist will prep each tooth that will receive a veneer. He does this by removing a thin layer of enamel from your natural tooth to create space for your porcelain veneers.
Once your teeth have been prepped, our dentist will take either a digital or traditional impression of your teeth. We will use these impressions to create a wax-up model so you can better preview your results. This also allows us to make very small adjustments to refine your results.
You and Dr. Azari will choose which color and shape of porcelain veneer will give you the most beautiful smile. Your impressions will be sent to a lab to be fabricated. You will be given temporary veneers while your permanent restorations are being made, which usually takes between 2-3 weeks.
At your third office visit, Dr. Azari will remove your temporary veneers and clean each prepared tooth. He will then apply a bonding agent to your teeth and meticulously secure each porcelain veneer into place.
Although you might experience some sensitivity in the days after your appointment, this cosmetic procedure involves no downtime. You will be smiling with confidence as soon as you step outside our office.

Request a Veneers ConsultationFor 10 Years Or More
Porcelain Veneers can refine your smile and revitalize your confidence. They can also give you long-lasting, gorgeous results for a decade or more. These results often depend on how much care you put into your new smile. Luckily, veneer care largely consists of the same routine you likely already practice.
As Easy As Caring For Your Natural Teeth
Porcelain veneers are extremely durable and with proper care, last longer than other cosmetic procedures like bonding with resin. To extend the lifespan of the porcelain veneers, you should:
You should continue to brush twice daily, floss once daily, and come to our Port St. Lucie practice twice a year to receive routine cleanings. This is the best way to keep your teeth, gums, and restorations healthy.
While porcelain veneers are more durable than other restorations, such as resin, they are not indestructible. You should avoid biting your nails, chewing on pens or ice, and opening packaging with your teeth.
Grinding your teeth can wear down your porcelain veneers over time and even cause them to chip or crack. If you struggle with teeth grinding (bruxism), contact our dental practice to see if an oral appliance could be a good solution for you.
Is Cost Stopping You?
You might know that veneers aren't covered by insurance, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're out of reach. Our practice accepts Alphaeon Credit, CareCredit®, and GreenSky to make treatment costs more manageable. We also feature free consultations for new patients.
